Except the decor was ocean-themed and we were surrounded by other tourists instead of farmers. The food was great - try the hash browns and the biscuits! After a week of eating rich food around the island, I was in the mood for something a little lighter for breakfast and wasn’t convinced the Pony Island Restaurant would have something to fit that bill. They did, though - I got an egg white scramble with spinach and tomatoes, which was perfect. The husband let me try a bite of his hotcake, which was fluffy and delicious. Everyone on staff was very kind and helpful, and they made sure you always had a full cup of steaming hot coffee. Very reasonable prices, too! This was the perfect place to end our vacation, and we’ll be back next time we find ourselves back on Ocracoke! ”
